So, let's go to war! No dry skin, no dry hair, no brittle nails, no chapped lips and no flakes any where!
LIPS:
I have a bad habit of licking my lips, and so I suffer from chapped lips problem very frequently. At times the condition becomes so worse that my lips split and bleed. No point telling the immense discomfort it creates.
1. Dehydration is a major reason for chapped lips. So to avoid chapping of lips, try drinking at least 2-3 litres of water everyday.
2. It is important that your diet comprises of green leafy vegetables, carrots, whole grains, tomatoes. This is because all these have Vitamin A in it, and this helps repair damaged skin.
3. Try dabbing a little coconut oil (good old grandma's remedy works) on your lips at regular intervals (chapped sticks does not work), or the old faithfull vaseline.
4. Rub a slice of cucumber on your lips. This is quite an effective method for chapped lips.
5. Also applying honey on your lips is a good way to avoid chapped lips.
6. Aloe vera is known to be a healing agent for damaged skin. Applying aloe vera gel on your lips cures chapped lips.
7. Crush some rose petals and add few drops of glycerin on them (it will give you good frangrance). Apply it on your lips every night before going to bed. It will help you to retain the color and lost moister of your lips.
This is excellent remedy for sore feet / cracked heels (which does not look good when you wear open shoes or slippers).
8. Apply lip balm every night prior to sleeping. Use pure shea butter if possible.
