"Every single thing has a measure or a weight, except for tears; for one drop of them can extinguish seas of Fire. If an eye is filled with tears, the face will never be burdened with neediness or humiliation; and if it floods with tears then Allah will make it unlawful for the Fire to touch it.
Mufaddal (ra) asked “My Lord, what is the reward of tears?” Imam Sadiq (as) replied “Uncountable reward if its for right (of Ahlulbayt)” Mufaddal (ra) said “O Son of The Messenger of Allah, your Day of Retribution (Ashura) is the greatest Day of plight” Imam Sadiq replied (as) “No, not our plight in Karbala, but the day of Al-Saqifa and burning the door on Ali, Hasan, Hussain, Fatima Zainab, Um Kulsoom, Fizza and killing Mohsin by kick is greater with more grief and sorrow, because its the origin of the Day of Torment”
Indeed, if a teary man cries for a community, they all receive mercy."- Imam Jaf’ar as-Sadiq (A.S)
Don’t be ashamed to weep; ‘tis right to grieve. Tears are only water, and flowers, trees, and fruit cannot grow without water. But there must be sunlight also. A wounded heart will heal in time, and when it does, the memory and love of our lost ones is sealed inside to comfort us.”
Weeping for Fear of Allah
Abu Hurairah (Radia-Allaahu ‘anhu) said: “When verses of Surat an NAjm were revealed,(53:59-60)
‘Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? And you laugh at it and weep not,’
The people of Saffa wept till their tears overflowed on their cheeks. When the Prophet (Salla-Allaahu alaihi wa sallam) heard them weeping, he wept with them, and so did all the other companions. The Prophet (Salla-Allaahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The person who shed tears on account of fear of Allah, will not go to Hell till the milk returns into the breasts (that it is impossible).”

Emotions and Feelings bring tears in many forms as of Joy, Sadness, Rememberance etc..
